What you get in Green Beans these days.
Long overdue on this post but wanted to get it out there.
If you saw an earlier post, we found a chunk of plastic in our can of Green Beans. If you missed that post...well then continue reading.
We purchased a couple of cans of Giant store brand Green Beans for Thanksgiving. When my wife opened up the container of one of those cans this came out!
Needless to say we threw out that batch of green beans. A couple of weeks later I contacted the distributor and they asked me to send over a picture. I did, and then they sent me the below letter, accompanied by a $10.00 check.
They also provided me with an envelope to send back the piece of plastic. They wanted to investigate how it happened. The letter along with the $10 bucks is enough for me, because the can only cost me about $0.40. I'm not one of those guys that found my pay day in court :)
I would like to know from Seneca what their conclusion was.

Sneaky Credit Card Company Basterds!
My wife just received the following letter in the mail and it will be just a matter of weeks before all of you will receive the same letter from all your credit card companies. I remember when I first graduated college it was nice to have a few credit cards at hand just in case of an emergency. Well, this new strategy will make a lot of people carry only one credit card. I think for the most part it will help people get out of debt except for the few who would spend more on their credit cards to reach the end of the year amount. But I think in the long run this strategy will hurt the credit card companies.
Watch out for these letters and if you don't use the card, cancel them. You don't want to be paying $60 at the end of the year for 10 credit cards you don't use.

RCN Bandwidth Speed problems
I've noticed this as of late, where my bandwidth speeds are not what I pay extra for. I bumped up my cable internet connection to 5MB and it seems RCN is only providing 1/5 of that speed. The weird thing is this. If I perform a full power cycle of the modem then check the speed it shows around 5MB but give it two mins and the results are back in the dumpster. I tried this with no other computer/laptop/gaming system/phone powered on. Also I have a secure network where no one is leeching free internet off my line. Above is my poor results of my last test.
I have sent a query message to RCN. I hope they can provide some answers soon!

Olevia Where Are You?
I bought a 32inch LCD Olevia TV at Kmart for $400 bucks back in 2007. I heard advertisements on the Mike & Mike show on ESPN not even a year ago, but now this company left us as quick as Enron. If you try to go to their website these days you just get a dead link. Reading up, the company seems that they were a fly by night business that was filled with corruption.
Found out, people are in need and looking for the PDF user manual that was available on Olevia's website. I was lucky and saved the PDF on my computer. So now I'm here to help out any people that has this model tv.
